How to root Cherry Mobile Flare Lite

Disclaimer: This tutorial is NOT for newbies. As often stated in countless disclaimers concerning modification in the Android system, the author of this post is not responsible if you damage your phone in the conduct of the process. Also, take note that rooting your phone will VOID your WARRANTY.

What is needed?


1. MT65xx Drivers
2. SP Flash Tool
    Flare Lite Root
        contains:
3. Android Scatter File
4. Custom Recovery
5. Flashable SuperSU

Instructions:

1. Download the needed files above.
2. Extract the zip and rar files (Except the Flashable SuperSU which you must put in the root of your sdcard).
3. Install the MT65xx drivers
4. open "Flash_tool.exe" (Run as Admin if you are using Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1)

5.Click "Scatter-loading"

6. Select the downloaded scatter file.

7. Check the "RECOVERY" box and double click "RECOVERY" to get a dialog similar to what's shown below. Select the "ctr_neiledward.img"

8. Turn off your phone, click "Download" and then connect your phone to PC via USB cable.
Note: Disregard the download warning that may prompt in your screen. Just click yes.

9. After connecting the switched-off phone, the progress bar will turn red and then yellow. if nothing happens, try to disconnect your phone and reconnect again. If an error of some sort shows up, then it might be a problem with your driver installation. Search Google for methods of installation of MT65xx USB vcom drivers that may work in your PC.

10. When done, a prompt shows up.

This means that you successfully flashed the custom recovery (CTR made by me). Now let's head on to the actual rooting process.

11. Go to the CTR by pressing "volume up + power button" simultaneously.

12. Click "Install zip", "Choose  zip from Sdcard", and select "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.37.zip"

13. Click YES and wait for the flashing to finish.

14. Click back and reboot phone.

15. Congrats! Your CM Flare Lite is now ROOTED.
